Language and Culture

The geography and geographical location of Sujanagar Upazila has played a role in shaping the language and culture of the people of this upazila. Located in the southwestern part of the capital of Bangladesh, the upazila is surrounded by the Padma River on the south, the Gazana and the Ghandasti Bills in the northeast atrai river. The main feature of the language here is similar to that of other upazilas of Bangladesh but still some variation is to be found.

The upazila consists of Palpara Cottage Industry, Kuripara Weaving Industries, Nishipara Bambet handicrafts, Padma Sangeet Academy and prominent actor Mr. Chanchal Chowdhury.
