Functions
- · Approval of all development proposals / projects and estimates related to the transfer.
- · Implementation of all other development projects vested in the Upazila Parishad by the Government from time to time.
- · Accept five-year and annual improvement plan of the Upazila Parishad and update the plan book.
- · Annual development plan of the council.
- · Approval of work plans and estimates implemented by the Upazila Parishad.
- Review, monitor and evaluate the textual progress of all development activities implemented.
- To adopt the schemes related to appropriation of funds of the Upazila Parishad.
- · Management of establishment affairs of all the employees of the council including the officers / employees appointed by the government.
- · Formation of various committees and sub-committees.
- · Perform various contracts for implementation of works by the council.
- · Review all other activities of the Council.
- · Review the status of upazila law and order.
- · Review of upazila relief and resettlement works and take necessary steps.
- · To collect all taxes, repayments, tolls, fees and other taxes and to levy / levy other taxes.
- · Acceptance and payment on behalf of the upazila
- .Issuance / approval of license permit and notice on behalf of the upazila.
- .Disposal of any offense under the Upazila Parishad Act.
- · File and manage cases on behalf of the Upazila Parishad.
